Breakdown Procedures
The majority of new vehicles are supplied with breakdown recovery for at least 12 months as part of the manufacturer's warranty. Please refer to the manufacturer's handbook for more details. If you have included U.K. Breakdown Recovery in your maintenance contract, your vehicle will be covered in the United Kingdom for breakdown recovery by the RAC. This cover begins on the day that the Manufacturers cover expires and will continue until the end of the contract.
The following level of cover is included:
- Roadside Assistance
- Recovery Service
- At Home Service
In the event that your vehicle has broken down, please follow the following procedures to ensure you are attended to as quickly as possible.
- Call 0800 043 2070
- You will be transferred to the RAC who will either facilitate your call or transfer you through to the respective Manufacturer's breakdown agent
- Provide your registration number
- Report that you have broken down
- Have ready a brief description of the problem
- Advise of your estimated position (i.e. Jct 10 of M25 westbound) and the colour of your vehicle
Out of Hours
If you dial Concept Serviceplan on 0800 043 2070 an automated telephone system is in operation out of standard business hours, please listen to the entire message and press Option 1 to be transferred direct to RAC Breakdown Service.
